What you saw in Jurassic Park weren't velociraptors.  They were a larger species called Utahraptors. 

Real velociraptors were closer to the size of turkeys. 

Disney's version at left were much more accurate,

but since most of their kin are now known to have had feathers,

then velociraptors may well have looked more like this.
